Irish Animation: Entries still open for the first Animation Ireland Awards

Entries are still open for the first Animation Ireland Awards ceremony,  Friday 13th March at the Dingle Skelligs Hotel in Dingle. This is Animation Irelands’ first awards ceremony to acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding creative talent Ireland has within the Irish and international Animation, VFX, gaming industries and animation students.

Animation Dingle runs in conjunction with Dingle IFF and this year takes place on the 12th and 13th of March. It will be a great opportunity for animators and animation students to liaise and mingle with the cream of the international broadcasters, publishers, animation companies and talent from around the world.

Animation Dingle have launched a new website, where they will announce guest speakers, master classes and screenings in the upcoming weeks. The following guest broadcast speakers have already been confirmed: Tim Paterson (Nickelodeon UK) and Sarah Muller (CBBC), with guest publisher speakers Helen Mc Aleer (Walker Books) and Richard Haines (Penguin). This will be a fantastic opportunity to get a valuable insight into the industry from the leaders in broadcasting, publishing and animation production studios.
