Irish Film: Principal photography begins on independent feature Class A

Dublin based film production company Deep Web Films has begun filming on their newest film Class A, a feature length crime drama set in Dublin.

The film centres around the everyday lives of Vinny and Warren – two inner city drug dealers solely united by a hunger for money. With the discovery of a new and innovative drug importation system, the two seem untouchable. However, dealing bigger and better than ever soon prompts a corrupt detective to intervene.

The principal cast of Class A includes John D’alessandro (Cardboard Gangsters), Aaron Blake (Bully), Justine O’Rourke (Bully), Alan Sherlock (Spider’s Trap), Joe Byrne (Red Rock), Ryan Lincoln (Cardboard Gangsters), and Sohaila Lindheim. They are supported by Saoirse Doyle, John Sweeney, Dean Sherlock, Troy Ryan, Séafra O’Rourke, and Ryan Gaffney.

Deep Web Films is an independent production company co-founded by Stephen Gaffney and Erica Keegan. Their feature film debut Bully, which was filmed last year, was recently picked up by Intellect Pictures, a USA/Canada based distribution company for release there. This film and their previous shorts have received several awards and acclaim at festivals home and abroad.
