Red-band trailer for Michael Bay’s Pain & Gain

Paramount has released a new red-band trailer for Michael Bay’s Pain & Gain. Made for a modest $22m this could be a return to Bad Boys form for the mega-action director.

The movie is based on a true story, and follows two bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong.

Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson provide the muscle, with support from Anthony Mackie, Rob Corddry, Ed Harris, John Turturro, and Rebel Wilson.

Pain & Gain opens in Ireland on August 28th, 2013.

Synopsis:

Based on a true story, “Pain & Gain” follows a group of bodybuilders who engaged in a campaign of kidnapping, extortion and murder in Florida. First told in an article from the “Miami New Times,” “Pain and Gain” will be directed by Bay and will star Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
