Super Bowl TV Spot for Ric Roman Waugh’s Snitch

Summit has revealed a new Super Bowl TV spot for the upcoming thriller Snitch.

The film sees Dwayne Johnson playing a father who goes undercover for the DEA in order to free his son who was imprisoned after being set up in drug deal. Ric Roman Waugh, the director was responsible for the stunts on Lethal Weapon 2, Total Recall and True Romance (he also directed the under-appreciated Felon),  and the supporting cast includes Susan Sarandon, Nadine Velazquez and Jon Bernthal.

Snitch is out in the US on February 22nd, and Ireland on April 5th.

Synopsis:

Action superstar Dwayne Johnson headlines this fast-paced thriller as a father whose teenage son is wrongly accused of a crime and is sentenced to 10 years in jail.  In order to clear his son’s name, he dangerously goes undercover and risks everything, including his own life, to reduce his son’s sentence.

The ensemble cast includes Academy Awards Winner Susan Sarandon, Emmy Nominee Benjamin Bratt, and Golden Globe Nominee Barry Pepper.

Inspired by a true story, the screenplay was written by Justin Haythe (THE LONE RANGER, REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, THE CLEARING) and adapted by the film’s director Ric Roman Waugh.
