Our friends over at HeyUGuys have been sent a new international trailer for A Little Bit of Heaven, a new romantic comedy starring rom-com queen Kate Hudson.
Hudson plays Marley, “a guarded woman who finds out she’s dying of cancer, but when she meets her match, the threat of falling in love is scarier than death.” First we had Parkinson’s in Love and Other Drugs, now cancer in this. Are debilitating illnesses the new rom-com plot device?
The film co-stars Gael García Bernal, Romany Malco, Kathy Bates, Whoopi Goldberg, Lucy Punch, Rosemarie DeWitt, Steven Weber, and Johann Urb.
Looks a little soft for my tastes. A Little Bit of Heaven is released February 4th.
Marley (Kate Hudson) is a fun-loving girl with a great job, brilliant friends and a wicked sense of humour. A single girl through and through, she’s never been a great believer in love and likes to keep things casual. But when she’s diagnosed with cancer, she wonders if life is trying to tell her something about the elements that she’s excluded from her world. As she begins the long journey back to health, and spends more and more time in hospital – and, more importantly, with her gorgeous doctor, Julian (Gael Garcia Bernal) – she begins to wonder if he could be what’s missing from her life. After some serious soul-searching and a few deep and meaningful conversations with God (Whoopie Goldberg), she decides that if she can face cancer, she can certainly give love a shot.
