Entertaining and sophisticated. The characters are a bit thin and the dialogue can be clunky, but this is intelligent sci-fi which will have you chewing over the moral themes raised.
Cruel, truthful and brilliant, 12 Years A Slave is a masterfully-handled true tale of slavery, hope and our capacity to endure and survive.
The Irish Pub is an interesting documentary but it feels like an incomplete story. If you have a burning desire to see Ireland as it once was, this is the film for you.
It could’ve been something glorious – an epic meta-battle for the ages, instead it's just disappointing.
This is uncompromising, claustrophobic cinema that will have you yearning for land.
The To Do List will leave you with a little to think about in terms of gender equality, sexuality and “empowerment”, but mostly, it’s just a good time.
