It has been revealed that Channing Tatum has joined the already pretty damn impressive line-up for Steven Soderbergh’s forthcoming movie Knockout.
The spy thriller come action film, penned by The Limey screenwriter Lem Dobbs, centres on a black ops super soldier who seeks to uncover who has set her up to take the fall for a job that goes bad that involves a murder.
Mixed martial arts star Gina Carano is firmly in place, with German-Irish star Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas and Dennis Quaid set to feature. Another name being bandied about is Antonio Banderas who is in line to play the head of a European spec-ops unit similar to Carano’s.
Shooting is set to start next month and will feature Dublin alongside Barcelona and New Mexico. Soderbergh is aiming for an August release and Lionsgate are positive that the film will be ready on time.
This is one to watch out for.
