OFFline Filmmaking Challenge

#Festival: Call for Filmmakers for 2016 OFFline Film Festival 57-Hour Filmmaking Challenge

Take your first step on the road to Oscar glory and get involved in the 57 Hour Filmmaking Challenge at the 2016 OFFline Film Festival. The festival runs from Wednesday October 12th to Sunday October 16th in Birr, Co Offaly and the surrounding region.

Teams of filmmakers will register on Thursday 13th, then will shoot and edit their short film in and around Birr. They’ll have access to equipment, locations and a database of local actors and extras.

On the evening of Saturday 15th, films are submitted to a panel of judges and screened to the public on Sunday 16th October, with the winning short film guaranteed a coveted slot at the Galway Film Fleadh 2017 (an Academy Award short-film qualifying festival). It’s not just great fun, it’s a great chance to mix with other filmmakers and film industry professionals from Ireland and overseas.

First Prize: €3,500 post-production studio rental and equipment rental, as well as a slot in the 2017 Galway Film Fleadh.

Second Prize: €1,000 equipment rental voucher
