Irish Film: Irish premiere of Brooklyn at Savoy Cinema, October 22nd
Lionsgate UK has announced details of the Irish Premiere of Brooklyn, which will take place in Dublin on Thursday 22nd October in the Savoy Cinema. Actress Saoirse Ronan will be joined on the Red Carpet by author Colm Tóibín, director John Crowley and producer Finola O’Dwyer.
Lionsgate UK has also teamed up with Wexford County Council to present a special Black Tie preview screening in Enniscorthy, where much of Brooklynwas filmed. Hosted in The Riverside Park Hotel on October 28th, this exclusive event will be attended by Saoirse Ronan and Colm Tóibín.
Set in the 1950s, Brooklyn sees a young woman move from a small town in Ireland to Brooklyn, where she has the opportunity for work, for a future and for love.
The film is an adaptation of Colm Tóibín’s best-selling novel by the equally best-selling British author Nick Hornby. Intermission director Crowley has gathered an all-star Irish and British cast, that features Saoirse Ronan, Domhnall Gleeson, Emory Cohen, Jim Broadbent, and Julie Walters.

Brooklyn will be released in Irish cinemas on November 6th. Certificate 15A.
