Remember hearing about Tamara Drewe, the Gemma Arterton starring fluffy comedy based on the graphic novel of the Guardian comic strip, based on Thomas Hardy’s Far From the Madding Crowd? No? Well not to worry as Sony has revealed a new trailer for the movie to pique interests once more.
Arterton stars as a newspaper writer, who fled country living for a chance at the high life, and who is now returning home for the first time in years. But her return causes more than a few surprises in the local village…
With direction from High Fidelity helmer Stephen Frears we could be on to a winner here. The trailer hints at a breezy yet affecting tone, and Arterton has shown recently that she has the acting ability to match her stunning looks.
The movie is out in Ireland September 10th.
