Two hot new trailers for The Mechanic

Red-band (a.k.a. adult) or international, how would you like your trailer for The Mechanic served? Thankfully you don’t have to pick one or the other as both are presented here for your viewing pleasure.

The movie is directed by Simon West, and stars Jason Statham, Ben Foster, Donald Sutherland, Christa Campbell, Tony Goldwyn, Nick Jones and Jeff Chase. The movie, which is a remake of the 1972 Charles Bronson starrer, sees Statham as a hitman who takes on a new apprentice. And there’s explosions, lots of explosions!

It looks interesting, and the Stat is always good for some thinking-optional fun so be sure to check this out when it is released January 28th.

Synopsis:

Arthur Bishop (Statham) is a ‘mechanic’ – an elite assassin with a strict code and unique talent for cleanly eliminating targets. It’s a job that requires professional perfection and total detachment, and Bishop is the best in the business. But when his mentor and close friend Harry (Sutherland) is murdered, Bishop is anything but detached. His next assignment is self-imposed – he wants those responsible dead. His mission grows complicated when Harry’s son Steve (Foster) approaches him with the same vengeful goal and a determination to learn Bishop’s trade. Bishop has always acted alone but he can’t turn his back on Harry’s son. A methodical hit man takes an impulsive student deep into his world and a deadly partnership is born. But while in pursuit of their ultimate mark, deceptions threaten to surface and those hired to fix problems become problems themselves.
