Universal Pictures, via Apple, has released a new featurette for Justin Lin’s Fast & Furious 6. The video showcases the entire cast and Lin discussing the story of the sixth installment in the franchise, and contains a bunch of new footage from the film.
The film follows on from the fifth outing with Dom, Brian and crew now $100 million richer but still on the lam from authorities back home. When an offer of full pardon comes their way if they agree to help the authorities track down an even more ruthless gang they see it as an offer too good to refuse.
Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson return, with newcomers Luke Evans and Gina Carano joining the franchise. After directing the last 2 outing Justin Lin returns to the directors chair.
Fast and Furious 6 is out in Ireland on May 24th.
Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian’s (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.
Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.
