Screen Skills Ireland announce further details about Post Graduate Certificate for Advanced Producers Programme
Screen Skills IrelandScreen Skills Ireland is the national training and development resource specifically created for Ireland’s film and television industry. More (SSI) has announced further details about the forthcoming Post Graduate Certificate Advanced Producers Programme. The programme has been designed by SSI in partnership with TU Dublin and is available via Springboard+.
The programme has been tailor-made for up-and-coming producers for film and TV drama to provide them with the skills, knowledge and contacts to take a project from script to screen. It will cover all aspects of producing, including preparing participants for pitching in key film and TV markets, such as the prestigious European Film Market in Berlin. Tutors will include award-winning experts such as producer John McDonnell (Fantastic Films) and the programme will also feature a number of highly experienced industry guest speakers.
The programme will be offered at a highly subsidised rate through Springboard+, with the fee of €2,400 reduced to €240 in order to ensure that the programme is widely accessible.
The limited class size of the programme will ensure high levels of support for those enrolled as they develop the skills required to work in the industry.
The anticipated start date for the programme will be 22nd October 2019 and it will run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm-9pm over a 12 week period. The course will also include three Saturday classes and workshops, from 9am-5pm. These hours have been designed to enable those in employment or freelancing to participate in the programme.
